Hi All,
We have recently implemented Artifax here at the Old Vic. I know that it's possible to integrate Tessitura & Artifax but I wondered who had done it and how difficult it was? Additionally, I wondered what the benefits are? What data is transfered or matched? Does it flow from one system to the other and if so, which way does it flow?
Integration is not something which we plan on doing for a while, if at all, but I'd like to know a bit more about it, just in case I have to make the case one way or the other.
Thanks very much.
Debbie
Hi Debbie,
We were the first organization to use the Tessitura/Artifax link. At the start it was very difficult to get working and configured properly. I believe that has improved now.
We use the link for two things:
1.All of our spaces are booked first in Artifax. Once a performance is confirmed and needs to appear in Tessitura for ticketing, the link pushes it from Artifax to Tess. The unique perf code for Tess is keyed into a field in Artifax and the production, production season and performance are created for it in Tess. Existing Tess performances are used to create the prices (it is much like doing a copy performance). If the time or date is changed in Artifax , the link updates the Tessitura performance. This is a big advantage for us as it means the calendars are in sync.
2. We also use Artifax for our volunteer rewards program. Volunteer ushers are assigned to events in Artifax and marked for the number of hours that they work. The Artifax entity is linked to a Tessitura constituent. In this case Tessitura's information is the "bible" and it updates Artifax as far as address and contact information goes. We have a report that runs from Tessitura that adds up the hours worked by the volunteer and then creates coupons which are redeemed for tickets. This process is not as streamlined as we would like to see it. Ideally, we want our volunteers to be able to sign up for shifts on the web.
If you want to contact me directly, I can go into more detail.
