PastPerfect and Tessitura

Good Morning Tessiturians,

I'm writing to see if any Tessitura using museums are also using PastPerfect to manage their collections. My biggest question is if anyone has created a connection between the two. Here at John Michael Kohler Arts Center, we use both and are having issues with getting information from PastPerfect into Tessitura without manual data entry.

Any thoughts or info would be awesome.

Best,

  • Chris,

You don’t say exactly what you are trying to get between PastPerfect to Tessitura.

    ·         Contact information.

    ·         Event information

    ·         Financial information

    ·         Something else…

  • In a perfect world…..all of that. But, mostly it’s getting contact information into Tessitura automatically. I was thinking something could be written in the REST services layer but I’m still trying to figure out that whole layer and trying to describe to our backend code person what needs to happen. We currently use it to manage our contracts for loaned art as well as items we are showing in an exhibition. It also tracks insurance, images, etc. I’m sure we’ll eventually want to connect the image database to our website as well, as part of our website redesign.

With that said, right now the biggest need is getting contact information from PastPerfect into Tessitura without creating numerous dupes.
