Embedded fees and creating reports

Hi,

We have been playing with reconciling our custom daily sales reports with our dashboards and t-stats and have realized that the $$ that is reported  in both includes reserved income and an embedded  fee ($2.00/ticket).  This requires us to keep separate excel reports with these items filtered out and it seems so silly to do this, especially since dashboards is so user friendly.

Now, with the fee, I use the term 'embedded' because it is built into the ticket price when the house zone maps and price maps are set up at the beginning of the season.

Has anyone else had any experience with needing to filter an embedded fee?  It is tied to a unique GL, so I'm assuming that its possible...

thanks!

T-status can be customized to exclude certain price categories (i.e. fees)

    Hi Tiffany,

We have several reports with a parameter of "Ticket Price Only"  which filters report to on the Price Category recorded on the Price Map.  Price Category 1 is "Ticket Price".  When the parameter is set to "Yes" the report shows only money from T_SLI_DETAIL where the category of the price map is 1.  If set to "No" shows all lines from T_SLI_DETAIL, but it presents them as two lines in the report.  One for Ticket Price and one for all other categories.

That is the route I would suggest.

  • I'm going to jump in here with a little more information.  To configure T-Stats to include only certain price categories in the calculation of ticket and package prices, you simply need to modify a couple parameters in your nightly T-Stats load job.  This filtering then applies on a global basis to all ticket and package amounts reported in T-Stats, and by extension in Dashboards.  It sounds like this may be what you are looking for, Tiffany.

You can read more about this in section 5.1 of the T-Stats Installation Guide (http://www.tessituranetwork.com/network/Learning/Documentation/T-Stats/T-Stats%20Installation%20Guide.aspx). Take a look at the @load_price_category_str_tickets and @load_price_category_str_packages parameters.

It is also possible to customize T-Stats to add additional measures that can report on different price categories separately within T-Stats, and to add these custom measures to widgets in Dashboards.  This would be a more complex customization, requiring changes to your T-Stats load procedures and data cubes.

If you have any questions about any of the above, feel free to reach out to us at T-Stats support.
