Our organization only allows one Web Login per account, and as such this has caused some issues as we attempt to consolidate accounts (specifically for organizations and schools). When our import occurred, the logins and email addresses went to the School or Organizational account, not the individual account created by the conversion. Because we are now hoping to make all those accounts one, with affiliates and such, we realize that those email logins will need to be moved to the individual account so that we don't lose the records. We have a work around which is to turn the organization account into an individual account, merge the two now matching individuals and then make it an affiliate. Ideally this is a much longer process than we would like. Is it possible to change the ownership of an email address/login from the organization/school to the individual on the account?

I can't say I know "how" to do it, but it seems like if you can utilize the functionality of the "Transfer Owner" button in households, that might be the easiest way (the little icon in Contact Details/Electronic Addresses allows you to move emails as well as logins in one fell swoop between the household and its members).
It's my favorite button, and I do wish it was more places! But not sure how to access the functionality behind it. (Too bad it doesn't already exist on organizations and their affiliates!)

I agree, Beth. "Transfer Owner" should be everywhere in Contact Details, Relationships, Attributes; really it could come in handy (almost?) anyplace the tab(s) display the hhold/org and its affiliates.
This is a couple of years old now, and maybe this went away at some point, but does this "Transfer Owner" button still exist? I am having trouble locating it (and looking through Security did not help, though Security is quite extensive), and it would do exactly what I am looking for here.
