Hi all,
Is it possible to compare two lists and remove the contents of one list from the other?
Thanks
Debbie
The disciples of extractions will tell you that this is best done in separate extraction segments. And they are right. But if you are really only dealing with two lists, this is fairly easy.
Build the list of patrons you DON'T want in the final result. Save and generate the list. In your second list include the criteria "List > Not In > *your list number*" (In our system List is under the "Other" folder of List criteria)
That should do it.
You can make a new list, and under the Other category, find the keycode "List". Use that keycode twice, once with the operator "has" and the list you want to start with, and once with the operator "does not have" and the list of people you want to exclude.
I do this all the time. J There’s a list criteria under “Other”.

I would do a quick extraction pulling the first list in as the first extraction segment and making it a suppression. Then the second extraction segment will be the second list and only pick up those not on the first list.
Thanks very much to everyone! It looks like we can do exactly what we want. Good old Tessitura!!
