Theatre Casting on Tessitura

A DEAL MEMO is a brief sent out, outlining the dates for the contract, income, tax details etc.

Getting the Agent/Actor to confirm that these key details are correct and acceptable, before the contract is made up.

So any obvious miscommunications about dates and income can be raised immediately.

MTC would like to be able to generate this document from Tessitura data.

I imagine our IT guru can set up a document.

Can you view this individual info in each person’s Tessitura Constituency Account?

What the show history and salary rate have been?

For Casting people, we would like to make the information easy to access.

Not to mention, the need for keeping this information private.

We are investigating the possibility of putting our Casting Data onto Tessitura.

Do any Theatre Companies use the Tessitura Network to house Cast and Creatives records for the purpose of drawing Deal Memos and updating present and past show employment?

We store exactly the data you describe in Tessitura, though up 'til now more for historical reporting purposes than for things like deal memos (contracts?), though some salary history is preserved.

We use a set of custom data tables, system tables, InfoMaker custom tabs, and SSRS reports to store, update, and retrieve this data. It was a lot of work to set up (all possible cast/creative/production data back to the founding of our company in 1963 has been entered and/or imported), but it is working well now and has been well received internally.
