I have a custom report that was designed to allow one of our departments to keep track of certain orders as they needed to be able to change a custom field on these orders.
I added the ID_ORDER(order_no) tag to the order number field on the report and the order window opens successfully. However, in this window we cannot change any of the values.
Have checked with the users and they can all alter the custom field in the orders if double clicking on the order from the order tab on the Constituent screen.
Is there a security setting I have missed or is it just that this always opens up read-only from a report?
Typically the orders that they need to adjust the value on belong to certain special accounts that have lots of orders in them and trying to find the one in the list on the orders tab can take a while.
Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Yes the click-through option from a report on Order (or Contribution) opens a read-only view. Theres a bit about it in the Custom Report Setup help doc.
Dont know if this will help as it depends on what detail you have in your report, but you can do the same trick with the Constituent (ID_CONST), and the Constituent record that opens is editable. So its a bit of a long way round but you can get to the Orders tab this way and then save changes there.

I knew the Constituent Record was editable and noticed in V9 that new CSI window will be editable and that was why I just wanted to check whether the order one was just read-only and that I hadn't missed something.
