Hello everyone,
I'm trying figure out what our total comp'd ticket number is and what the reason for that comp was. I'm able to separate the tickets by Price Type to show how many (for that month) were sold as comp'd, however, when I attempt to run a second widget for the comp reasons, it is giving me a lower number than the Price Type widget states.
Widget displaying ticket sales by Price Type
Widget displaying total comp tickets sold and comp reason.
I do not have any dashboard filters that would be messing with the data, only widget filters.
I'm not sure how Analytics would handle column entries if a comp did not have an associated reason, but is it possible that is the issue?
What happens if you add the comp reason as an extra row in the first widget? It should show you the breakdown then, so you can spot what's missing.
I think if you have any price type/comp reasons setup for a price type, you can't use that price type without selecting a reason (unless I've missed a setting for that somewhere, but I know we can't bypass the popup!).
I have a very similar dashboard set up and if a Price Type doesn't have a matching Reason, in the reason column it just says (none) next to that Price Type. Mine is set up as follows:
Rows: Price TypeComp Reason
Values:Total Attended Count
Alison,
I put in a new row for the Price Types report and am now able to see which ones I'm missing in my Reasons report. I'm going to have to explore why they are not all being reported correctly in the Reasons report. I have (NONE) chosen to show up (just in case) but all the comps are showing that they have a reason. Thank you everyone for the input.
