Hello,
I would like to create a widget that is a pivot table of funds. If there are 10 funds, I need 3 of those to be grouped together into one total and the other 7 to show their individual totals. The output would look something like this:
Campaign
Fund
Total
Individual Annual
Fund 1
$5,000
Fund 2,3,4
$10,000
Institutional Annual
Fund 5
$1,000
Fund 6
$2,000
Fund 7
$25,000
Fund 8
$12,000
External
Fund 9
Parking
Fund 10
$1,200
Grand total
$66,200
I spoke to Chris Wallingford about this at TLCC and he said that it could be done through a customization by creating a Fund Category. Does anyone have any idea what this would involve? Is this something that I can do myself?
Thank you,
John

I suspect you could do this yourself, though it would likely require an Elasticube license, which enables cube customizations, to add that field. Last I heard those were $5/year.
Hopefully it is that easy. I think that my organization will approve $5.

Oops, I meant $5k/year, of course. :-)
Re: "easy", I haven't attempted this, or any, Analytics customization, but adding a field to a table/cube should be straightforward. Should.
It depends. If you are with Tessitura Hosted Services, then they will have to do it for you.
If you are self-hosted, then it's not too hard (apparently)
If you want something simple like you have above, you could get that by using "Bucketing". i.e. having 10 Received Amount values each one filtered by a different Fund (and in one case three funds together). If Parking is not a Fund you might have to play in the Finance Cube but there are options.

If you are not using Income Designation for anything - you could use that.
Agree with Mary.
I had used this to be able to group items in Analytics and it worked well. In the Funds tab it is called Designation Code. In Analytics it's Income Designation. TR_Desig_Code in system table is where you can add values.
Amazing idea. I have set this up in Tessitura. Tomorrow we will see the results!
Thank you for this information. I have set this up in Tessitura and I am excited to see what I can achieve tomorrow.
I can't remember if it needs a full load to update, or if an incremental load will update it. Hope it's the latter.
It worked! You guys are amazing!
