Relative Pacing of one show (or packages) against previous year shows

Good afternoon,

I'm finally getting to do a deep dive into Analytics after a very long time of only skimming the surface, and I have what I feel like is a very easy thing that is being requested that I am having a hard time figuring out. The request is as such: "A show's tickets and gross vs. selected prior shows same number of days prior to opening (as a graph so I can see a trend" and something similar with subscription package/income trend chart for the past 5 years, so we can see how that is trending as well. Does anyone have a formula for something like this? I'm sure it's out there, and probably staring me right in the face, Preferably a line chart with each show in different colors, but I'll take what I can get!

Thanks,

Matt Lazorwitz

  • Mystic does almost nothing with packages, but I do have some Analytics thoughts about the first scenario:

    1. 'Order days Prior to Performance' as the X-Axis
    2. For Values, two bucketed formulas for each show ([Ticket sales] , [Only that Performance]) and ([Paid Amount] , [Only That Performance])

That way, you'd be able to see each show's data with a common denominator below them.

The above concept should port well into looking at package sales/revenue, but you'd have to tinker with the formulas a bit. Again, we don't do much with packages, but the formula structure above should give you some momentum a good direction.
