Ticket Sales based on transaction date

Hi friends,

We recently had what I thought to be our highest single sales day of all time based on information from my predecessors, but have since been asked by Leadership for documentation on highest sales days going back ~10 years. I created an Analytics widget using the Seats and Tickets cube with Total Ticket Paid Amount by Order Date (day of year), broken out by Season FY. Unfortunately, I think the result of this is showing the highest sales day of all time to be what might have been a subscription rollover date. I cross referenced that date using the Ticket Sales by Period report and it looks like we only processed ~$4k that day. It's also showing about $8k shy of the sales we did on the highest date earlier this month, because some of the orders were already existing with a prior order date. Is there a way to get this information based on the actual date the transaction occurred?

  • I think if you use the Finance Cube, you could use Ticketing related transaction types and payment amounts by posting date. I've not done this, but when I was trying to figure out some subscription payment things in the past, I found it was helpful to look at when the actual payments were posted rather than order dates. Hope that helps.
