My museum needs to start distinguishing between Connecticut patrons and out of state patrons. I want to add CT as a Geo Area option, so that when I filter in Analytics on our "Top 5 Zips by Ticket Count" it will just give me Connecticut. From previous answers in the forums it seems like I have to go into SSMS first and then add it to the TR_Geo_Area system table. IS that the case, or can I just add the new line directly into the table? I have never touched anything in Geo Area before so I have no idea where to begin.
Thanks!
Hi Chelsea,
The CT Summer math is always a fun challenge! At the Wadsworth, I have a dashboard that combines zip codes from General Public sales with zips from Constituent IDs. (Our members still have to check in and get a ticket, they can't just scan and go). Then, I have a spreadsheet I keep outside of Tessitura that translates the data into CT cities, counties, states, etc. I know it's not best practice to have it outside Tessitura, but it's fast and easy. I'm happy to share the excel file it would be helpful!
That would be great! I appreciate it!
I am currently having our Ongoing Services team build what I need because those numbers are due Friday, but I would love to take a look at what you have and see if our Devo department could use it in the future.
And it also doesn't help that some of the data they want from last summer is in our old Altru system and we don't think we pulled the numbers they are looking for before it went dead. Gotta love it! lol
