Reporting Allocations?

We received a grant to offer free tickets to our performances over the next three fiscal years.   Currently, these seats are offered to various education groups.  They receive a promo code that triggers seats that are allocated for this grant to be offered for free.

Reporting the "sales" of the comps is not the issue.  What I'd like to report, by performance, is how many seats are allocated for "sale" based on their allocation code as it's not consistent by performance.  Any ideas where to start?

Thanks

  • Short answer: There are no default reports or Analytics (in v15) that look at allocations in a useful way. v16 does have them, as I recall.

    Longer answers:

    1) you could run something in SQL - I remember getting a similar report in SQL a while back, I'll see if I can dig it up.

    2) Another tack to use would be to have Hold Codes function as markers for Allocations. If you have the space on the seat map, you can mirror each allocation into a Hold Code (90 of X allocation = 90 of X Hold Code, etc.), and do a report in Analytics that looks at Unsold Seats with particular Hold Codes. I remember a presentation at TLCC 2022 from Carlo at the Royal Academy that had do you have that widget handy?

  • That's what I thought.  There are no hold codes (I don't know why), just allocation codes.
    Thanks.
