Lists In Analytics Issues

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction - we use a lot of lists and it's driving me crazy that I can't create a list and immediately use it in Analytics. Now, to make matters worse, our lists don't even show up the next day. Sometimes we have to wait 2-3 days in order to pull information out of analytics using a list. Can anyone tell me if there is a workaround for this? We usually need some of this info on the spot, not 3 days later.

Thanks

  • Analytics data is not live: it is exported out of Tessitura on a schedule.  For most organizations, this is nightly.  The lists are part of the export.  It is important to know that if the lists change, that too won't be reflected until the next export.  Although this is frustrating at times, if your list is based on criteria, then you would want the criteria that generated the list and the data on analytics to be consistent in time.

If your lists are taking days to import, perhaps something is wrong with the schedule of your Analytics export?

  • I understand that piece, but if I have a list of constituents in Tess and want to pull info on past purchases/contributions/or anything really from analytics, I don't understand why that list can't be just used in analytics right then. Something that should take minutes is taking days as we have to wait until the list appears in analytics. We have an update/refresh nightly, but the lists are not appearing next day. That's why I'm wondering if anyone has a workaround - we can't be the only organisation finding this tough to work with, can we?
