RSUM for Ticket Count & Ticket Paid Amount in Pivot Table Historical Comparison

Hi all,

I've created two line graph widgets that show the rsum of ticket count and rsum of ticket paid amount for our upcoming opera, comparing single tickets for this one show to similar shows from past seasons.
I've been asked to try and make a table version of these comparisons. This is what I have set up so far, but for some reason, my rsums aren't working. Any idea where I went wrong?

A bit of background - I tried order days prior to closing because our onsale dates have been all over the place over the years. My colleagues are really only interested in comparing the last 30 to 60 days of sales with each show to see how they track against each other historically. They want pure net revenue numbers, so my formula contains /1.05 to remove taxes.

  • Hey Amy.

Is it because the column might be treating your days before as descrete integers and has no continuity to apply a running sum?

I dont have analytics on me so this is a thought experiment but how about

    1. turning off ticket count for a sec
    2. moving order days prior to closing into rows
    3. and moving production season down to columns (turn it off for a moment to see if you get something and if it works then turn on Production Season)
  • Hi Heath!

Thanks for replying and helping me out with this -
I tried out your instructions, and it worked! The only catch is that it won't list the productions side-by-side - just one after the other, so that it looks like this:

Any thoughts on if it's possible to get the 30 day comparison side-by-side?
