It's budget time at my museum and our CEO is looking very closely at attendance numbers. Currently to get our daily attendance we just pull an "Attendance by Performance Report." This normally works fine, however now our CEO would like to know how many tickets we sell at a specific time per performance (for example he currently wants to know how many tickets General Admission performance tickets we sell on a Sunday between the hours of 10am-12pm). He would like to see about 2 months worth of data, so I need the historical numbers, not getting them as we go.
What is the best option to get this information?
'Order Hour' and 'Performance Date' is your best bet for this:
This widget is filtered by 'Title' = General Admission and 'Performance Year' = 2023. You also have the widget filters of 'Order Hour' = 10, 11, 12 only, and 'Performance Date > Day of Week Sort' = Sunday only. You can then filter by Performance Date to select only a certain range worth of dates.
I don't really use Analytics all that often. Could you show me how to set up a dashboard like this? Currently I've just been looking at the Tessitura built in dashboards. I have not built one for our museum yet.
Sure! Would a quick Teams/Zoom call be helpful? I find that real-time communication is best for working out the dashboard building principles.
Give me a shout at npearson@mysticaquarium.org and we'll work out a time.
Thank you so much! I just sent you an email.
