Year over year reporting - Memberships (Museum)

Hi Everyone!

I am wondering if anyone has figured out how to report on year over year renewal rates and year over year membership counts by level? We are struggling to see, for example, how many active memberships we have in January of this year compared to January of last year.

    Memberships year-over-year are tricky. You have to look at expiration dates and then filter to unique constituent IDs or people get counted twice -- if they renew mid-year, both memberships will be counted. I'm attaching a dashboard that I adapted from one that Nate Pearson posted in analytic Coffee! The first set of widgets -- by membership level are double counting, but if you scroll down, I have all levels by year. It doesn't get all years on one widget, but it does break it out by year.
