Hi Folks,
I'm trying to figure out how to report out in analytics the ticket sales by day of week - we're looking to see when it is most useful to have our staff on-site/available for phone calls in between shows and this data would help.
So far I've been able to add "Day of Week Sort" & "Channel" to the rows but I'm getting stuck when I try to select the # of tickets sold on that day. I am not sure where to pull that data from.
Thanks in advance!
I have a similar widget looking at revenue rather than # of tickets.
For revenue, I am using sum[Total Ticket Paid Amount]. The dash that I have it in is looking at the current fiscal year. Hope that helps a bit.
Would you want tickets purchased on a day of the week (I called Saturday and ordered tickets) of tickets purchased for a day of the week (I called and purchased tickets for Saturday)? The first would be Day of Week Sort under 'Order Date', and the second would be Day of Week sort under 'Performance Date'.
That's a first pass at something along those lines. Does that help?
Ooh I love that! Thank you! Very helpful!
Thank you! For our purposes we want to know how many tickets are purchased ON a day of the week (i called Saturday and ordered tickets) - and HOW they were purchased (in person, web, phone, etc) - I think this will get me where I need to go.
Thank you!
You're welcome! You could add in another row for 'Channel', or put in a 'Column' for 'Channel'. Building things out in Analytics can be alot of fun as you build momentum.
If you want to get granular on the time of day you can do a polar chart using Order Hour and break it by MOS or channel counting Paid Tickets or # of Unique Orders (tip: If the stacked bar is confusing the LINE option for Polar Charts make it easier to see relative difference)
I made a dashboard specifically for this a while back.
