Average # of Performances in Account

Hi Everyone,

I want to calculate the average number of performances in someone's account, and wanted to check that I have the right formula. Screenshot below. Has anyone tried this before? Am I on the right track?

If I also wanted to calculate average number of performances over five years, would I use the min/max calendar function?

Screenshot below. Thanks so much!

  • This does seem like it would work- if your row was the production or production season, it would pull the # of performances in that season and divide that by the # of constituents who have tickets in that season. Looks good! As always, check it against what you can see on the back end of tessitura (count the number of performances in the Producion Season, for instance, or run an Attendance by Performance report and have it segment by Constituent ID).

If you wanted to look only at the last five years, the simplest bet would probably be to put a filter on the dashboard/widget, that looks only at the last five years. The formula would continue to work as intended but with a scope of only five years. You also could bucket that by using 'fiscal current year offset' under 'Performance date', and filtering by 0 through -4.

  • Thank you for the additional tips. Good to know that I'm on the right track and will keep poking around.

  • Just like to say I really like this formula.  I tried it out this morning and then validated it against some patron accounts, and they all matched.  This is very useful in looking at constituents over many years or seasons throughout a year.

    Thanks for this tip!
