Contribution with two different Contribution Dates

Hey folks,

I noted a discrepancy between two Cubes today.

It shows up under $150 for a 'Contribution Date' of 1/1/00 under the Finance Cube...
but
It shows up under $150 for a 'Contribution Date' of 5/31/22 under the Contributions Cube.
The story is this: a constituent bought a Ray Encounter ($150) for 6/1/22, but couldn't attend. They wanted to make that into a contribution for the Aquarium. Our staff went to the Order on 5/31/22, returned the ticket, and put the money into the 'Front Gate General Donation' fund, which has the Income Designation of 'Unrestricted'. Finance reports that Contribution happening on 1/1/00, which means the Finance vs Contributions cube widgets, when both looking at the '5/28 - 6/3' week, report different amounts.
Why would the dates be different?
