Hello! We occasionally have co-productions where tickets are sold through two different organizations. We traditionally manage this by placing the other seller's seats on hold/allocation, but their sales data does not write back into our database. We don't plan on having the specifics of their sales write over to constituent records on our end - our agreement doesn't allow for that granularity in data sharing. Instead, we would like to include their sales totals in our analytics dashboards so we can get a more holistic picture of sales for these productions. We receive sales reports from them in the form of .csv files autogenerated by Ticketmaster. For now, we track these sales separately from our own. I'm wondering whether anyone has any experience with adding external data to analytics dashboards, or whether that's even possible, and how you might recommend approaching this?Warmly,Andrew
Hi Andrew, one solution if you don't need this to go in as actual orders is you can bring in custom data into Analytics if you have the Sisense license that allows you add custom elements. We've brought in custom data by loading it in a place that's visible to our BI views in Impresario, and from there it can be brought over into the data warehouse with the nightly data load. (Note we're self hosted). From there, the custom elements can link up with the standard elements pretty seamlessly. I can fill you in with details if you're interested.
Hi Kirk, we are also self hosted and I would love to know more about how you do this. Do you have some sql to share? Thanks!
Hi Nancy, sure I'll put together something to send to you showing how we've implemented this.
