Hi All! I'm relatively new to the ticketing side of Analytics so please be patient with me.
I'm wondering if there is a way to see how well individual seats have sold historically, so I can potentially adjust our zones accordingly. Is this something that Analytics can handle, or am I asking for too much? I noticed a widget in the 'out of the box' performance dashboard that visually gave the breakdown of how soon to a performance a seat sold, but that's not quite what I need...
FWIW I am part of a consortium and only have in-app access, but can make requests of the admins for anything more complicated. Thanks in advance!
That might be the heat map for individual seats at the bottom of the supplied Performance Sales Dashboard. While days after Onsale might not work for you, how about transforming it a bit by using the Breakby colour SUM(Ticket Count) and changing the filter so that it counts over a few production seasons that you want to aggregate? I also added size as Ticket Paid Value for some fun there (looking at yield)
Otherwise you could divide the ticket count by the seat count to get the % sold and split it by zone. From there you can filter out seat kills using a hold code filter on the seat count measure.
For zone adjustments and sales strategy for me looking at a running sum (hockey stick graph) of the rate of sales of zones really helped show that premium were really in demand in subscription but not in single ticket sales and we adjusted accordingly. Though that was more about WHEN and hold code management than individual seats.

Here we go. It’s a bit of a thought experiment so interested to see how you adapt.
This is from a single 2019 season (so adjust your cube and filters) but there is no reason that one couldn’t have a lot of seasons in the same theatre as long as seat kills, hold codes etc changing are taken into account
