Hello all,
I am starting to research looking into what is the most popular day to least popular day of week patrons purchase for. These would be single ticket buyers only that are mostly new to file.
I thought to get going I would create a list in list manager that meets my new to file criteria.
The next day in Analytics when making my dash, I'd filter the dash by my list ID. I was then thinking a pivot table that has the season I'm interested in as my dimension. I'd also pull in performances as well as the performance day of week name. My metrics would most likely be amount of tickets, and revenue. I'm thinking that will give me the quantity of tickets for day of week along with revenue. I'd probably also do some math to average out the amount of performances that are available on each day. (Saturdays have more performances than Monday for example).
Does that sound like a possible track for me to start this research, or do others have other thoughts that might work for this?
As always, thanks in advance.
That sounds great, Michael. If you have days of the week where there can be multiple performances (indicated, for instance, by Performance Detail>Slot), that might be a helpful metric to break out as well (e.g. Perhaps Saturday evenings are the most popular evening, but Sunday matinees are more popular than Saturday matinees, etc.)
Thanks Lauren! I like the tip on performance detail >slot.
What I ended up pulling worked well where I was able to find the most popular days new patrons tend to buy for. However, the time of the concert has come up as well, and there are days where we have 3 performances of the same concert - so I will take your suggestion.
Thank you.
