Howdy!
I am on the hunt for a report that will show Nscan scans times for a singular past event with 1000+ attendees. While the attendance by performance report provides a nice overview, I am hoping to find a report (or analytics) that showcases specific times. Have any museums or other orgs tackled this question before? I see the attended date/time field in analytics but having trouble accurately bucking out the number of scans by 15 min/hour increments.
Thanks,Joe
For those who have the same question-- I was able to create a work around. I saved the Attendance by Performance report as a list & created an output set and included the Attended Date element. After executing the output set, I opened the results within an excel and counted the scans for each hour. There may be a better way to report on this in analytics, but this worked well since it was only one performance.
Hey Joe. This would be a really interesting Analytics project. I think you would have to do it with a custom grouping. See this presentation by Chris W for how to group "on the fly" - Take Your Tessitura Analytics Skills to the Next Level (tessituranetwork.com). The theory is in the custom grouping by gift amount. You would do custom grouping by time instead. It would be a lot of groups, if you are doing 15 minute increments for full day, but I think it is possible to do.
Joe, thanks for posting this! Very interesting. As a 1000 seater theatre we are hoping to report regularly on arrival times so we can upsell bar items to early arrivers (for example) - so still holding out for an analytics solution, but this is very helpful in the meantime.
