Average time between visits

Hi,

I'm trying to find out how long time passes between visits on average, if it´s for example 3 years that lapse between visists for our average constituent. The background is that I wan't to set a definition for when we count a constituent as a lost customer. Preferably I'd like to do this in Analytics, but I can't figure out how. Does anyone have a solution to my problem?

Thanks,

Sofia

  • Hi Chris - If I'm looking to see the average time between orders and or attended performances would you still recommend using the .dash that is in this thread?

Also, something I want to look at closely, is the time between orders for our more popular productions vs our less popular productions.  Would you recommend filtering by production season or a list id of constituents for that?  If I do filter by list or production season, would I need to ALL() any of the formulas?

    Thanks,

    Mike

  • Hi Michael,

A quick review and that dashboard still works as expected. You can also check out (+) Repeat Cycle - Reporting & Analytics - Forums - Tessitura Network.

If I'm remembering correctly, this is about repeat buyers, so just double checking that you'd be looking for repeat buyers within your most/least popular productions. If so, Production probably, rather than Production Season, as the latter is usually restricted by Season. If the Production Seasons are named identically across seasons, then it's probably okay so long as either Season is not included in the filters, or includes many Seasons-worth of the given Production Season, or ALL([Season]) is used in the appropriate place of a formula to override a higher level instance.

Generally, if it can be done without a Lists filter in Analytics, I avoid using Lists due to the lag between Tessitura and Analytics on their refresh, and that the Lists have to be refreshed via scheduled list generation in order to be updated in Analytics.
