Counting Steps in a Plan

Hi all,

I've been trying to create a pivot table in Analytics where one value is a count of all the steps in a certain plan over the past year.  I'm using the formula: (SUM([Step Count]),[Days in Date1]) so basically I think I'm asking it to count all the steps in my filtered time period which is the last 360 days.  When I spot check the data, many of the values are correct, but there are a few I've found that are not accurate.

Does anyone have any idea of what might cause an issue for some, but not all?

Thanks!

Here are a few ideas to work out what is going on with your pivot table.

Is there a directionality to the way that your numbers are going wrong?  Are all of the wrong numbers, either to HI or too low?  (That would start to indicate whether you have too many records being aggregated or too few.)

Can you break down your pivot table to the customer or contribution or plan step and again look at where the data is wrong? Are the listed customers, or plan steps unexpectedly missing or being added?

Finally, what are you comparing your Tessitura Analytics results to?  That is to ask what is your source of truth?  What is your way to evaluate if the data is correct or not?  Sometimes there are differences in the way that Tessitura Analytics gathers the data vs whatever other method you are using.

I know that this does not answer your question.  However, I'm hoping that these questions may get you to the point where you can more clearly understand the discrepancies that you are seeing.
