Hello!
Is there a way to sort a pivot table with constituent data by last name instead of by constituent number?
Also, on the same pivot table - it appears to be too wide to fit on one page of the PDF output. Is there a way to fix it? You can modify the length of widget in edit mode but not the width to make sure all data is shown. And yes, I tried changing the layout to landscape but same problem.
Thanks!
Erin
Hi Erin,
The Constituent Sort Name field might help with your sorting question.
There are some PDF options to help with fitting larger content. Have a look at this webinar starting at section 7, PDF Report Settings: https://www.tessituranetwork.com/en/Items/Videos/Webinars/2020/PopUpSkill_Sharing_Analytics
In particular, using Tabloid in Landscape with some tweaks to the pivot table itself to help fit: narrower columns, remove redundant columns, remove decimals if not needed, etc. Further to this, there will be improvements in v16 to PDF outputs from Analytics.

Thanks, Chris!
Const Sort Name works fine. I wish you could have it in the table to use for alphabetizing but also be able to hide it, since Const Display Name is more user friendly and shows better information. Oh well!
Using Tabloid is a great trick! I also didn't know you could resize columns. Works perfectly!
You're welcome, Erin. I will say, though it's not perfect, you can make that sort column as narrow as you like. Rename it to just ".' and make it so narrow it renders only 1 character of the content. That could be more of a distraction in some ways, but wanted you to know.
Cheers.
