I am able to export the widget as a csv. The widget is the only item in the report. Is there a way to schedule this to send as a .csv rather than me having to go in and download it every day and send it to another department? A PDF might suffice if I could possible get it to fit on one, but the table widget I'm using is too large. Not only would they not be able to edit--they wouldn't be able to see the whole thing.
And so my question stands.
Hi Robert,
Analytics doesn't currently support sending a CSV attachment with a dashboard subscription email. There are some PDF options to help with fitting larger content. Have a look at this webinar starting at section 7, PDF Report Settings: https://www.tessituranetwork.com/en/Items/Videos/Webinars/2020/PopUpSkill_Sharing_Analytics
In particular, using Tabloid in Landscape with some tweaks to the pivot table itself to help fit: narrower columns, remove redundant columns, remove decimals if not needed, etc. Further to this, there will be improvements in v16 to PDF outputs from Analytics.
Best,Chris
Hi,
I'm wondering if there's been any magic update since this original post? I have a dashboard widget that needs to be shared with non-Tessitura users, but it *has* to be as a csv. Failing being able to email it as a csv from analytics, does the widget info live in sql anywhere? I'm wondering if maybe I could turn it into a local procedure and email that output. (It's a shame because the widget is absolutely perfect)
Not sure about the other stuff, but you can manually save a widget as a CSV. easily from within Analytics. So if its not a daily thing you might find it easiest to just do it manually. Its really easy to do manually, jut annoying that you just can't automate a CSV. from Analytics!
It's a daily (all 7 days a week) thing, sadly. I may just wind up setting a daily reminder to do it manually, and setting up a filter to look back at the weekend's data. I wish I didn't have to go that route, though...
