Group Discussion: Relational Fundraising during Physical Distancing

Hello all,

Are you craving connection with your peers? Do you want to hear what others are doing to stay in touch with their donors during this time? I'd like to invite you to a small group video discussion about Relational Fundraising during Physical Distancing.

We'll start with a brief presentation. Then, using Zoom’s breakout rooms, we’ll separate into small video discussion groups. We’ll discuss over video chat how we as fundraisers can reinforce existing connections between our organization and donors. What comes next in fundraising for arts and culture? Coming back together, each group will report on their discussion.

Registration is required. If this first session fills, we'll hold additional sessions. Watch the forums for updates. Please register here. And if you don’t have a webcam, you are welcome to phone in!

Thursday, 1 p.m. Eastern/Noon Central/11 Mountain/10 a.m. Pacific

See you soon. Be well, friends.

Erin

(p.s. I'm also cross-posting in Fundraising and Memberships, but feel free to forward to colleagues who might not be in these forums yet.)

  • Hi Erin,

I love this idea, but am not able to make the time you have mentioned as i am in Australia. Is there any chance there will be a similar forum set up for the Asia/Pacific region?

  • Hi Hannah and Heath – short answer, yes!

As you know, we would have been gathering in Sydney on Monday to kick off ANZTRUC 2020. ANZTRUC is always a moment for our Tessitura community to connect, share ideas and look to how we can harness our collective strength and expertise – and so many of the conversations I’ve had with members recently have been how very important this is right now, as we navigate the present and plan our recovery.

Keep an eye on your inbox on Monday as we will be announcing ANZTRUC Virtual, which is a series of six online meet-ups, each covering a specific topic relevant to right now – one of which is looking at philanthropy, fundraising and partnerships. As part of the registration process you will be able to nominate discussion points and I’ll be collating these into our discussion agenda. The first of our ANZTRUC Virtuals will happen next week, and my hope is these develop into an ongoing forum for us to navigate this time together.

Timelines will be Australia/New Zealand friendly but of course anyone is welcome to join and full info will be available from Monday on the ANZTRUC page – and I’m happy for it to be shared far and wide.

    Stay safe, talk soon.
