I'm putting together a visualization (line chart) of cumulative subscription revenue over days from onsale, and the results seem odd. Does anyone know what date it's using for the onsale date of a package, when calculating these days out from onsale?
Thanks!
I believe it's the Default Sales Dates Start Date.
Thanks! Where do I find that date?
I found this note here: https://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System_v151/Content/Tessitura%20Analytics/Data%20Dictionary/Seats%20and%20Tickets%20Cube.htm in the Performance Onsale Date Dimension section that might help:
Note: Prior to v15.0, the Default Sales Dates Start Date value on a performance was used as only a default value field (to assist with pricing and MOS setup) and had no actual sales functionality or reporting ramifications. As such, the data in the field may not have been reflective of actual sales dates. The v15.0 upgrade sets the Default Sales Date Start Date to the earliest MOS start date on the performance, unless it has been already changed from the performance create date (the default value for the field). Moving forward, this date should be set on all new performances to the official on-sale date you want to record for use with Tessitura Analytics.
it changed from 1st MOS date to Default Sales Dates Start Date between v15.0 and v15.1 (off the top of my head) if that affects your set up
Steven - I know I'm a little late to the game here, but I have been trying to figure out how to do this in Analytics and I'm getting some weird results. I am attempting to track total subscription and single ticket sales over multiple seasons to see how we are trending as the weeks go by. Have you been able to create a widget to do something similar?
