Happy Friday, TAFFY folks!I hope that you all are having an excellent end to 2019 and that the shock of next year being 2020 (which always, growing up, felt like one of those "far in the future" years to me) isn't being too unkind. As we prepare for another TAFFY meeting coming up on Tuesday, December 17th, we want to hear your Analytics Resolutions for 2020; after all, what would a new year be without being an opportunity to evaluate our hopes, dreams, and goals for the next 12 months.Maybe your resolution has to do with finding out how Tessitura Analytics, or Analytics tracking in general, can streamline something that is currently an arduous task. Perhaps your resolution is more general and deals with your organization's overall adoption of Tessitura Analytics or data-driven decision making. Maybe you have lots of resolutions, and they fall all over the spectrum of planning for the new year. All I know for sure is that I'd love for you to share them here, and to see what conversations we can generate both here in the TAFFY forum but also as part of our virtual meeting coming up.I know, as a first-timer at TLCC 2015 almost half a decade ago, how important and valuable it was for me to learn that the questions, concerns, challenges, and successes I was facing as a brand-new fundraiser in the arts and cultural world were not strange or unique. It was a transformative experience to know that I shared this with people working in this field all over the world. I hope that, in bringing together resolutions for 2020, we will find that same comfort in camaraderie and shared experience that will help us move into a restful holiday season that allows us to start 2020 on the right note.Thank you,Brian
Resolution - Help development team utilized Analytics to get into their data and see trends and gaps.
2020 Resolution: Actually implement Analytics! I recently joined an organization that has not yet implemented Analytics. "The horror! The horror!"
Resolution: really dig into Analytics. I've used it some, but I haven't fully taken advantage of it and as our Tessitura admin it isn't going to happen if I don't do it. I'm hoping that some upcoming SQL training will help me wrap my head around building formulas.
I love this post!
Resolution - Translate some of our reports and the "hey I was wondering" Excel adventures into ongoing, sustainable Dashboards.
My resolution is to make something pretty.
Sorry that's so vain! But I have had so many teams cross their eyes at past custom reports. I want to give them something they will want to look at.
My resolution is to build some time into my schedule to finally put some of this stuff into practice! I always get so inspired by seeing what other members of this group come up with, and the resources that are made available to us, and it always seems like the biggest challenge is just working around other projects and deadlines to actually make things happen.
My resolution is to keep encouraging people to ask questions and to not be afraid of the answers, even if they're not what's expected.
Get off of T-Stats and fully onto Tessitura Analytics by 4/1/2020 just in time for the end of support for T-Stats.
