Display seats Held and Seats Available for Sale for a specific concert

I am trying to build a dashboard for the exec team and the data I can't seem to find is the count of seats that are currently in hold codes (holds), seats that are reserved but unpaid, and finally seats that are open for sale.

I also wonder if there is a "capacity" formula that may take into account those metrics above.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Best,

Michael

  • Hi Michael,

I've got this little monster that'll do salable inventory calculations for you and the like.  You can take mine it for parts at your leisure. The calculations will need some adjusting on your end as you pop in what 'salable' holds you want to count.  eg: We count House seats and Development seats as unsellable $0 inventory.

The trick with counting capacity from hold codes is that in some versions of analytics the holds are updated in Full (weekly) load while sales are obviously in incremental (nightly) loads.  I'm upgrading to v15.1.5 to take advantage of hold codes being updated nightly.

It's a labour of love but my boss and the Head of Marketing like it so that's worth something.

There's also a few fun availability heat maps and $ to budget for fun.

    Cheers,

    H
