Can anyone share a request form or questionnaire that you give to staff members who are asking for a report from Tessitura? Essentially, I'm looking for a form that a staff member would fill out to set expectations for what they hope to receive in their report from Tessitura. The hope to have some mechanism that can help translate the needs of the staff with the person preparing the report.
Anyone have any thoughts? Samples to share?
I find conversation critical for this process. End users don't usually actually know what they need or what is possible.
I use the agile process of writing a Users Stroy to have the conversation.
This is often written in the form
As a _____________________ I/We can ___________________________ So that or Because _______________________________
The above should be able to fit on one or two sides of a 3x5" card.
Then I'll ask about conditions of satisfaction (COS) that may already be known.
Given the above what would have to be true about this report for it to be useful?
Today, I would likely not start with a custom Tessitura Report as a tool to make this information available. Unless:
Otherwise, I'd start with a Tessitura Analytics Report or an Execute an Output Set. I currently expect both of these to have lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) over the successive version of Tessitura, because of the Tessitura Network is testing and upgrading most of those items.
