Hi everyone!
Does anyone have a dashboard that they use to show which shows people are exchanging out of and into? I have one that just shows money exchanged out, but not the show they exchange into. Is there a way to do this? I'm thinking this might have to be a custom report, but figured I'd ask!
Thanks!
Hi Kari, How do you handle exchanges there? In a separate MOS or no?
Kari Swenson,
That's an interesting question. What mechanism are you envisioning using to connect the two sets of tickets? (What connects the exchange OUT tickets and the exchanging IN tickets?)
In thinking about some of the orders, I've seen from top doners. Who buy a subscription with 7 performances for example. But by the end of the season, they may have switched all but one of those initial dates. And at least one of the shows had been switched to 2 or 3 dates. And one became a benevolent return.
Maybe some of the other folks here know a way to connect each of these groups of tickets.
Initially, before subscription were printed, exchanges were processed on the same original order to make printing easier. However, now exchanges are processed in a separate exchange MOS.
Tom,
That's exactly where I'm stuck. I'm not even sure if there is anything that connects the tickets other than looking at an entire constituent record to see what was returned and then subsequently purchased.

I think you are going to find this challenging. If you can work with SQL or have a developer on staff, you might take a look at database table t_order_seat_hist. But, I suspect that the connection is going to be temporal. Two changes happening on the same account on the same day are considered an exchange.
