Hi,
I'm trying to create a YOY sales graph, but I'm having trouble because our subscription sales start in March (before our fiscal year that starts in July) and singles continue to be sold through May of the following year. I can get it to show the lines separate from each other (see below), but I can't figure out how to get them to not consider the year so that they'll lay on top of each other. Is that possible? Thanks for your help.
Hi Kanani,
Could you try changing your X-Axis to Calendar Month Sort value? I am thinking that, because you are using 'Months in Date', it is pulling each month from each year so splitting up your lines. If you use Calendar Month Sort (or something like it), it should only use 'one' April for all three years and overlay the lines.
Derrek,
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately that doesn't work because it wants to put 01 January and 02 February first, because they are first in the calendar, but on the graph I am trying to make they should come after December. Adding more troubles is the fact that we continue selling tickets into March, April, May of the following year.
If all the performances within any given campaign fiscal year have, or can be set to have, the same default start sale date, then you could explore using the Order Months Since Onsale field instead of the Order Date itself in months format. Here I have Order Date month in the top widget and Order Months Since Onsale in the bottom.
Here are the help details of the Performance Onsale Date off of which the time Since Onsale is calculated. You can change the onsale of any given performance by editing its Default Sale Start Date in ticketing setup.
Best,Chris
