Cross-Show Analysis

Hi all,

I'm creating the dashboard for individual performance analysis and a widget I would like to add is a cross-show analysis; Using the constituents who bought for show X, tell me the top 10 shows for which they also bought tickets? I'm conscious that this dashboard comes from the seats and tickets data cube. If you have a dashboard that requires information to pull from both the constituent data cube and the tickets data cube, is this possible to host them together?

My other question on this lies in the percentage occupancy. I have created a gauge widget to monitor the percentage of ticket sold, however I cannot find the correct data field to pull the number of tickets under the hold codes. It's therefore giving my percentage occupancy as considerably lower and not a true reflection. Same question as my previous post on the daily sales report.

Thanks,

Ashleigh

    Hi Ashleigh

We've definitely done something similar with regard to audience crossover. We filtered the widget by a list of all attendees of the production in focus. Using a pivot table, our rows were production seasons (suppressing the production in focus) and then value is the following formula : SUM(Ticket Count) / # of unique performance ID. I can send you screen grabs of what I mean if you would like clearer guidance (I'm working from home today so struggling with my screen grab tool but can try and be more helpful tomorrow!).

When it comes to the percentage occupancy, I'd suggest you set a widget level filter of seat hold code and suppress the hold codes you don't want counted. This should then reflect your actual availability. Again, I'm back in the office tomorrow and can screen-grab what I mean if it makes it clearer.

Hope that helps as a start!

  • Thanks Rhi.

For the cross-show - to pull the list of all the attendees, what is the data field? or did you have to put the constituent cube against the dashboard? The current cube in this dashboard is the tickets one.

Re the percentage occupancy; I want to remove all the holds from the unsold count but when I choose 'seat hold code' it just removes the number of codes...so rather than removing 300 Ticketmaster holds, it's removing 1 because there is 1 Ticketmaster hold code. Am I picking the wrong data field here?

It will all sit within the seats and tickets cube, you just need to build the list on tessitura and then filter by the list code within the widget. You won't be able to pull the list until the following day when the refresh has happened but once you can access it that should work without needing any other cubes.

If you use it as a dashboard filter, it should remove all reference to those seats on the widget. We have a similar capacity tracker and if I filter the widget on the filtering panel on the right hand side by hold code (remove all except (none)) then the capacity changes to reflect what is available.

  • Thanks Rhi, I'll look at creating those lists.

Re the hold codes, I think i've done it. This hold code would answer my daily sales report too for unsold count. I've added in onto it now but it doesn't seem to be impacting the numbers, so i must just be missing a step. Would you mind taking a screenshot tomorrow so I can check what i've done?
