Hi All - We need a report that will show increase/decrease of new donors that were solely ticket purchasers. I have looked everywhere, and there is not a criteria for first gift. Someone must have a dashboard or report that would give this information. I am going to try an extraction and see what happens.
Criteria - ticket purchaser, first gift FY19 compared to same time period FY20.
OR
No donation past 3 years, ticket purchaser, new gift FY19, compared to same tome FY20
We do have appeals - ticket add on and pre-sale memberships which would count in that process, but we also want to show people who have purchased tickets and then went on to give a gift that year regardless of how the gift came in.

Thanks Brian - Yes, I ran a report the same way as you described, but it takes a LOT of manipulation/cutting/pasting/deleting to get the list down to what we need.
Shame that there is not a criteria of first gift instead of just in output.
If you (or someone in the building) is feeling up to the task in experimentation, you could potentially build a custom List Builder Criteria in the T_KEYWORD System Table to surface that First Gift information, actually. Pre-v14.1, we actually used the table view LVS_GIFTSTATS and created custom criteria for First Gift Amount, Campaign, Date, and Fund.But yes, in the long run, it would be great for this to be a standard criteria option. +1
I found a thread from 10 years ago where someone was wanting to see how many tickets it took before someone made a first gift. Replies for a few years after that so - is there somewhere we can go to get these suggestions to the powers that be? No way this hasn't been requested.
I'm on the Member Advisory Committee, so I'm happy to bring it up.
Further question - is there a canned/simple report for first time donor as opposed to first gift?
