I’d love some help thinking about how to achieve a sales tracker over time in Analytics. The difficulty I have is creating the correct time frame and having the ticket count and ticket sales as a % of total sales.
Situation
Looking at historical ticket data. We would like to understand how well ticket sales compare from one production to another similar production.
We’d like two line graphs that show the cumulative weekly total ticket count and the ticket paid amount over the entire sales lifecycle of a production (on sales to last performance on one graph)
X axis – weeks (from on sales to last performance)
Y axis – cumulative weekly tickets sold / ticket income as a % of total
The time frame is the tricky thing. Week 0 would be the week that includes the first date of a performance. If the event started on a Wednesday, week 0 would start the Monday before and end on the Sunday.
Analytics has the dimensions for ‘order weeks prior to performance’ and ‘order weeks since onsales’ but I’m not clear how to show the entire production on the same graph. Even that part would be a great help.
