Next Performance in a series

Question:

Has anyone worked out how to filter in sisense to see just the next performance in a series of performances?  If so, I'd love to hear how you are filtering to just that performance

Background:

Here at LSC, we have an event every third Thursday of the month.  We are working on sending a report to the producer of that event about the sales for the event.  We are hoping to show just the next event in the series.  We are sending the report via Sisense nightly.  If we choose this month for a date filter that is good until the third Thursday but does not switch to the next event automatically.  If in the latter portion of the month we choose next month.  Things, once you get to the first-day things, don't shift to the current month.

Thoughts?  Might some sort of ranking work?  Can you build a conditional filter?

  • Hi Tom,

I was able to apply a filter in Tessitura Analytics based on the days between the performance date and now to filter for performances where that difference was between -1 and 30 days away from today. This would on occasion return 2 performance perhaps: the one from yesterday and the next one. Here I'm filtered to just my Guided Tours in 2019. The Analytics widget at the left does not have a filter applied and shows all Guided Tours along with the Days Until that date. The widget at the right shows the next date of Guided Tour:

The value for Days Until is the Min difference between the performance days in date and the NOW() performance days in date. Within the Edit Widget screen, I filtered that value then to being between -1 (for yesterday) and 53 for my data, but could be set to 31 or even 27 (to avoid having any results where both yesterday and the next even are in the same result set for a monthly event). I then toggled the Days Until value off so that it isn't visible in the widget to the right.

    Best,
    Chris
