One of our KPIs for our Edu department is Fill Percentage. I've had a few issues with the differences between [Total Seat Count] vs [Ticket Sold Count] + [Unsold Seat Count], but my variance there is about 0.2%, so I can live with that.
My bigger issue is some sponsored seats. We have a grantor that donates $X for classes to be donated to local community centers. We are currently entering those classes in Tessitura as $0 classes, and seating a bunch of people. But we can't sell the tickets, and while these seats are showing up in both [Total Seat Count] and [Unsold Seat Count], I'm having a hard time figuring out how to get them into the sold part of the equation, as they don't show up in [Ticket Sold Count]. I suspect this is just a simple lexicon problem, as I don't have any performing arts/theater background, so I have no idea which of the variables accounts for these tickets.
Any ideas?
Nevermind; please disregard. I found out that it was counting them as sold, but was injecting a bunch of extra seats into my total and my calculations were off due to hold codes.
