Hey everyone,
At TLCC this year John Jakovich had a presentation that quoted a few early adopters of analytics. I happened to be one of those people. During this presentation...he coined "The Cuhel Rule" regarding analytics. I'm honored to have such a rule named after me....and firmly believe it's the best way to get used to analytics. The Cuhel Rule is:
1. Dig into the dashboards (the Tessitura provided dashboards are a great place to start. Copy them and dig in).
2. You can't break anything so don't be afraid (no literally....you can't break anything. Well..you might be able to break the dashboard you're working on but you can just duplicate another and start again).
3. Play (Start moving data fields around. Add filters. Pretend you're a kid and the new playground just opened....try everything....because you can't break it).
4. Have fun (I try to remember this through everything. I believe work should be fun. Analytics should be part of that fun.)
It's that simple. None of us are alone as we learn this new product. Some of us have been using longer and I'm quite certain that any of those longer users are willing to help out when they can...and share their dashboards. I know I am. Don't be afraid to email me directly and I'm happy to answer questions as best I can...or direct you to the knowledge base at Tessitura Network.
Through it all...just remember The Cuhel Rule and you'll be successful.
