Pulse Alert Recipient Not Saving

Hi folks,

I've created an alert from a barchart.  When I try to create an alert (Add to Pulse > Advanced > Users and Groups > Add ) the additional recipient shows but the alert wont "ADD".  The board is shared with the recipient and I've republished.  The Alert ADDs fine with just me (owner).

Cheers,

Heath

  • Heath,

We also ran into this during testing, and submitted as a defect. Not only that, once it gets stuck during the "Add to Pulse" step, it completely breaks the ability to add Recipients on the other Pulse widgets, until you log out and back in. The specific sequence we found:

    1. On Pulse dashboard - recipients can be added without issue.
    2. Navigate to other dashboard, add widget to Pulse.
    3. While adding widget, attempt to add an additional recipient. Nothing will happen when you click Add button.
    4. Navigate back to Pulse - now no recipients can be added to the widget. The Save button will also be unresponsive, just like the Add button had been.
    5. User must relogin - After relogin, recipients can again be added to existing widgets on Pulse dashboard.

Had a fun call with Christine Chester to show her what it was doing. :)
