We're working with TRG on two projects simultaneously (pricing and patron loyalty). I've created quite a few custom reports and/or views in order to provide the weekly snapshots we have to give our consultant, but am thinking Analytics might be able to provide a prettier picture than my trying to mash everything together in SSRS. However, the standard dimensions and cubes don't necessarily track the data the way TRG requires us to report it so I was thinking of trying to bring custom views into the cube. Questions:
Thanks in advance!Sara
PS - I also posted in this in TAMATO as I'm responsible for both the ticketing and development data pulls for TRG.
We haven't but I'm totally going to watch this comment string. We are RAMP too.
We are RAMP clients and have something cooking in our BETA environment. It involves a custom view, and the new analytics tables from 15.1. We aren't live with 15.1 just yet, so we haven't gotten to release it into the wild, but I'm very happy with my test results.
P.S. We worked with Chris Wallingford on our setup. If you contact Tessitura, they can help walk you through what you need.
Hi Sarah,
The cat has stuck its head out of the bag regarding these system tables. The official word on their existence is that they’re intended for future functionality and reserved for internal Tessitura Network use at this time. We’re trying something with these that we hope will be useful for the Community at large, but are treating like a soft launch, a pilot that isn’t ready for general use or for our staff to support. So for the time being, if you have customizations you’d like to consider for incorporation into Analytics, I recommend please, dropping a note to enterprise@tessituranetwork.com.
Best, Chris
Thanks Chris! I'd love to be a part of the BETA testing group for this project.
Don't get me wrong, I love writing SQL and custom reports, but Analytics are so pretty and easy to use that it would be great to move some of my custom stuff to that feature :-)
Thanks Jennifer! Hopefully we can BETA it at some point in the near future.
