Is there any way to create a Seat heat map across a given period of time or season?
Just so that I am not assuming anything... I would like to use the analytics to create a mp of the auditorium with the frequency of use for every seat in my space. I deally this could be displayed in both a list style view and a "seat map" view with various colors representing usage? Is this possible?
Hey Jason,
I've attached a copy of a seatmap dashboard that Chris Wallingford sent me. You will need to change the data source to your local Seat and Tickets data source. As for a list style view, I'm betting you could create a pivot table that houses this data. You can set conditional statements on the data to color cells certain colors based on thresholds. I also included a dashboard I made to help us with dynamic pricing here at The Smith Center. Again, you'll need to change the data source to your local instance of Seats & Tickets.

Hi Chris, thanks for sharing this. I'm sorry to ask a very basic question but how do we open these files?
I usually click on the file and it appears in my download file folder. We are RAMP so I move it to a networked drive (usually my personal drive on our network). Then you go to analytics and click the plus sign in the upper right and then click import dashboards.
Remember to change the data set once you import it to your local instance of Seats and Tickets. You do this by clicking the drop down in the upper left of the actual dashboard. I can't remember what it looks like when you import a dashboard but it should ask if you want to change data source like in the screenshot.
I hope this helps. If not....feel free to give me a jingle at 702-749-2386. I can walk you through it over the phone.
Although...I just saw you are at Wales Millenium Centre so a phone call may not work to well with all those pesky international phone rates. Email works too...ccuhel@thesmithcenter.com
Hi Katie! Here is some quick documentation on importing dashboards.
Thanks,
Carli

We can put this on our list of things to talk about this at analytic Coffee if you are going to attend.
Fab! Thanks so much, Carli
Thank you for walking me through! I've managed to import it now. It's not loading our data (I have changed the data source) but I can see how it was built so can replicate it in a new dashboard.
