Analytics and Missing Campaigns

I was so excited about these new analytics dashboards, but after hours of trying to manipulate them to get them to show data I am at my wits end...so I put it out to the group for some help. Here are my issues with the Contribution Income dashboard:

  1. While the second widget (Campaign Progress) is telling me what the percent is to our campaign goal, the Fund Progress and Campaign Progress widgets do not recognize that there are goals associated with the Funds and Campaigns. Anyone else have this issue and figure out what's going on?
  2. The data set is not pulling in all of our active campaigns for the fiscal year - one is missing and we cannot figure out why it won't recognize it. Has anyone had this issue and, if so, what did you find to resolve it?

Thank you so much!

  • Hi Maria,

For your first question, I'm going to work under the assumption that this is the Fund and Designation widgets on the Contribution Income dashboard. I'm also going to assume that for the selected Campaign in the dashboard filters, you have set goals on the associated funds and designations in Campaign setup in Tessitura. And, in the header of the Campaign Setup screen for that campaign, you see Goal, Fund Goal, and Designation Goal all greater than $0. If anything there is not the reality, then we need to setup some goals on the Campaign Setup side of things. If all that's true, then if these goals were recently set, then has there been a refresh of your Analytics since setting those goals? Beyond this, I think a TASK ticket might be best to carry this forward.

For the active campaigns question, if the campaign doesn't have a fiscal year associated with it, then it may not appear under the "active campaigns for the fiscal year." Also, if there haven't yet been any contributions to the campaign, then it won't appear in Analytics until there is one. The Contributions cube looks at all contributions, and we can see any campaigns associated with those contributions. So a campaign won't exist in Analytics unless/until it has at least one contribution of any kind associated with it.

    Best,
