Hi all,
We sell super packages for performances that are on a fixed day of the week and fixed time slot. It'd be nice if there was some way to associate a day of the week and a time of day with these packages for easy reporting in T-Stats, which seems possible as there is a "Package Day of Week" dimension. Does this require a date to be associated with the package in package setup? Is there another way to associate these items with the packages? I currently just export the data into Excel and break it down by package code for cross-year reporting, but it'd be nice if there was a native way to do this.
Martin - the Package Day of Week attribute in T-Stats is part of the Package Date dimension. It reflects the day of the week of the package's package date in Tessitura. If you want to use this attribute, if you assigned a package date to the packages in question, that would work. There is not a time of day attribute for packages out of the box.
Thank you Amanda! Do you think there would be a negative effect to assigning the performance date of the last performance in the package as the package date? I'm hesitant since the documentation seems to imply the package date field should only be used if the performances included in it all fall on the same date.
You may want to confirm with Tessitura Network support. It is possible I am overlooking something, but my understanding is that iff you're using Package (Relative) sales buttons in Quicksale, then yes you should only set the package date if all the performances occur on the same date.
However if you are not using that feature in your quicksale layouts, then I believe the Package Date is essentially irrelevant other than if you wanted to use it for your own reporting purposes. So if you're not already using (or planning to) the Package (Relative) buttons in quicksale, then my original suggestion may still be viable.
