Hello,
We are trying to compare analytics numbers to reporting and are running into a conundrum. I built a report to show pledge balances in using the Contributions data set. In that set, there is no filter for transaction date (at least that I could find). Because of this, we can't compare to active pledges due to the pledge balance detail report (which allows for transaction date selection). When I try to build the same report using the Finance data set, I have transaction dates, but no ability to select contribution dates.
Has anyone on V15 (Live or Test) figured out how to make this work?
- Chris
First, I have not figured out how to do this. It is an interesting problem in my mind.
I'm wondering about adding a column like order/report_dt to the finance elastic cube to hold the date of the actual object
Wonder if Chris Wallingford or John Jakovich have any ideas about this...
P.S. We have V15 in Test at the moment. Just started Testing.
Hi Chris and Tom,
While we can use the Contributions cube to match the Pledge Balance Detail report, it only works reliably when contribution date and no transaction date parameters are set on the Tessitura report. We do not currently have a mixture of transaction date and contribution/order dates in Analytics.
Thanks!Chris

Since transaction date is a needed metric with contributions (and much reporting in Tessitura) I would like to suggest that transaction dates be added to the Contributions cube. If there is another way you can recommend pacing contributions and doing cash planning (which is based off transaction dates), I'm all ears Chris.
