Hi all,
Curious if anyone out there has some advice on how to use a .csv file to add values to a given attribute. My organization has multiple CRMs, and there's an attribute in one of our non-Tess CRMs that we'd like to display in patrons' Tess accounts. Ideally I'd be able to use the Manage Attributes utility to do this, but since this particular attribute has values unique to every constituent, I'm not sure I'm able to do that. I'm sure I'm not the first person who has run into this issue though, so I'm interested in any solutions that might have worked for you!
Thanks,Max WilliamsStanford Live
I believe that there are some "Shared Reports" that might help in this area.
...
In a brief look at the "Shared Reports". I discovered the "Attribute Blaster that looks like it might be helpful.
I could not find your direct email address. But here is a brief bit of description of this "Shared Report" that would have to be added and tested in your system.
"Tessitura Attribute Blaster / Unblaster Reports
Overview
The code provided creates two custom web reports that are used in Tessitura. The purpose of the reports is to assign and un-assign attributes on mass to a list.
These reports provide a more application like interface for working with attribute assignment on mass. You can select a list to work with as well as sort the lists. Attribute values can be updated, added, and deleted on mass. There is also the ability to assign multiple values to an attribute that allows for multiple values. User provided values can also be assigned. A note with attribute un-assigning, the utility removes all occurrences of the attribute from the customer’s record. When assigning an attribute that can have multiple values, the update existing attributes and the add multiple values checkboxes are mutually exclusive."
