Automated Ticket Report with Contact Information

I would like to set up a weekly report that automatically pulls the email addresses of those who purchased tickets. It seems like this should be possible out of the box, but I'm struggling to get from ticket purchase to email address without manual work.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you.

  • Hi Marie,

If you've got your dynamic list of ticket buyers for the week and an output set that selects the primary email (and whatever else you need), I think scheduling the "Execute an Output Set" report off that list should do it. You can email or to whomever.

Similar to triggered email process just using tha  report instead of your email service.

  • Hi Heath,

That sounds like my missing link. I've used lists largely for contributions. What fields would you recommend? I realize our set ups may be different, but that would give me a good jumping off point.

    Thanks you!

  • It really depends on what you want to use it for.  Output set elements out of the box should be enough for email address, first and last name etc.  If you want something like next performance etc then I'd recommend looking at the Output set cookbook.  Some of the more tricky things (like next perf) might require someone setting up a view in the database for pulling all the data field you need.  I did this for our wordfly 'triggered' emails and it works a treat. Let  me know if you need more

  • We are moving toward triggered emails. Is that working well for you?

I'm using pretty basic output set; so I think that is working well. However, I am not sure that I am using the best criteria to build my lists in list manager.

Thank you for all your advise!
