Learning Machine Learning Algorithms with Weka

If you are intrested in a basic machine learning algorythms class, may I suggest Future Learns' online 5 week course:

"Data Mining with Weka

Discover practical data mining and learn to mine your own data using the popular Weka workbench."

Some things that might make this useful to members of the Tessitura community:

You do not have to learn a programing language to learn from this class, and to use the Weka tool.
You do have to install a tool that uses Java.
The class is listed as 59 pounds. However, you can audit this course for free. The software is also open source and free.
You do not have to have a background in advanced mathamatics to undertand the content of this course. A basic background in highschool math and statistics should be good enough.
Even if you are working with advanced tools like R and Python and you would like to learn more about what the libraries are actually doing for you. This course could be of help. If you want to understand how to evaluate the results of a machine learning method you are using.

This class is not available year round the best I can tell. However, I think it is still open for new students at this time.
